RV Petrel is able to search more than three miles below the sea
The R/V Petrel is an underwater research and exploration vessel used specifically to locate historically significant shipwrecks and explore underwater ecosystems. Equipped with the latest state-of-the-art subsea technology including two onboard robots– an AUV (autonomous underwater vehicle) and a ROV (remotely operated vehicle). RV Petrel is able to search more than three miles below the sea.
OmniAccess provides global combined C/Ku band coverage based on their worldwide connectivity requirement. Typical speeds are 8/3 CIR and above. The VSAT service combines TDMA (iDirect), SCPC and the most advanced modem technologies such as Newtec Dialog (DVB-S2X and Mx-DMA).
