ABOUT US

Your trusted VSAT partner since 2001

OmniAccess was founded in Palma de Mallorca in 2001 as a Wifi/Wimax provider for superyachts in several Ports in Palma and the Mediterranean. The company’s roots in networking and IT lead to its venture in to LAN services whilst still providing superyachts with WAN solutions. Our close relationship with our clients and new satellite broadband technology lead to VSAT service provisioning. After a few years of operating managed VSAT networks our first teleport went live in 2009, following our strong principles of truly end-to-end control we continued to grow our own infrastructure.

Location

We are located on the island of Mallorca, in the heart of the Mediterranean. In addition to being a major yachting hub, Mallorca offers ideal conditions for satellite earth stations. Our Teleport location benefits from over 300 days of sunshine per year, below average precipitation and quickly overpassing weather fronts, making weather related outages very rare. Our southerly location allows us to uplink to numerous additional satellites unlike other Teleports located further North, allowing for further redundancy and flexibility in booking satellite capacity.

Today, with over 100 specialist, OmniAccess operates an advanced global proprietary VSAT network with more than 32 satellite-beams in both C- and Ku-band, uplinked from 6 Teleport locations in Spain, Germany, Hawaii, Australia and the USA. OmniAccess provides industry-leading nextGen BroadBeam® VSAT solutions for Internet connectivity at sea with ultra-high speeds of over 400Mbps, complemented by our nextGen iO 4G & WiMax terrestrial connectivity services. The portfolio is further enhanced by the extensive suite of Plexus advanced integrated maritime IT networks and IPTV solutions.

As the leading maritime VSAT company, the combined Marlink Group generates close to US $500 million revenues, employs 1000 experts and manages over 5500 VSAT vessels under contract. 1950’s Diner

Inspired Jack Rabbit Slim’s diner from the movie Pulp Fiction, where Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman) and Vincent Vega (John Travolta) compete with an improvised “You Never Can Tell” twist dance. You will find various pieces of memorabilia from the movie itself, as well as a jukebox, neon lights, and comfy booths. As with US fast-food restaurants that were predominant in the 1960´s, it is a place for the Omni team to grab a quick coffee, have a snack or hold the occasional adhoc meeting.

LOST Lounge

Inspired by one of the greatest TV series of all time, LOST follows a bunch of survivors on a mysterious and remote island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean. In our LOST lounge you will feel like you have stepped into a mysterious realm, you will find a section of Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 (a Boeing 777 replica) through which you enter into an underground food hall that can seat upwards of 100 people. The LOST Lounge also features a kitchen with a pantry filled with food reserves, music equipment, a small gym, bathroom with shower, an “under construction” games room, and our custom “Omni” Kombi.
